2025 March for Life LIVESTREAMNEAR: Students for Life RALLY
This took place on Saturday January 18th, and two members of the Pro Life Ministry were able to spend the day learning more about how to change hearts and minds around the question of abortion and LIFE. If you have any questions about the rally and the efforts of the organizations present, as well as how you can get involved, please reach out to Paulette, one of these attendees. Her contact information is below.
You can also stop and speak with Faith B when you see her at St. Francis.
NEAR: Weekly Sidewalk Prayer Vigil for the Protection of the Preborn
The weekly prayer vigil continues on the sidewalk outside of Maine Family Planning on Waldo Avenue. When? Every Friday from 9-10am. If you are not available during this hour, other times can be adjusted to fit your schedule. WE NEED YOU! As always, if you are just not able to join in due to your work/life schedule, please join in prayer from wherever you are. For more information, please contact Edward Jones at mgtdocean@gmail.com
NEAR: Baby Bottle Drive to Support Zoe
You will find baby bottles in each of our churches the weekend of January 25/26. Please take one home and help raise money for Zoe, A Women's Center, located in Rockport and the only pregnancy resource center serving our midcoast communities. Please be mindful that if you do take a baby bottle, you are also making a promise to return it by the date requested, full, partially full, or even empty. The baby bottle "banks" are purchased each year for this drive at $5 apiece, and when not returned for use in years to come, they need to be repurchased, thereby detracting from the funds raised for the important work of Zoe. We and Zoe thank you in advance for your participation. You can learn more about the center by clicking the link below:

Watch the theme video below:
Last October, during Respect Life Month, we held an event after a Sunday Mass at StF and watched a documentary about French geneticist, pediatrician, and first president of the Pontifical Academy for Life (under Saint Pope Jean-Paul II), Dr. Jerome Lejeune. Dr. Lejeune's cause for canonization was opened in 2007 by the Catholic Church and furthered by Pope Francis in 2021 when the Holy Father accorded him the title Venerable in recognition of Dr. Lejeune's "heroic virtues." You can access the full 58-minute documentary below. It is a poignant and riveting story of a life lived for others.
Venerable Jerome Lejeune, pray for us.
