St. Brendan's Needs Teachers!
St. Brendan the Navigator needs teachers and teacher's assistants for all grades levels for this Fall. This includes the churches of Our Lady of Good Hope, St. Francis and St. Bernard.
Have you ever considered becoming a catechist? It's not as difficult as you may think or fear. The parish will be offering a training session on August 16th for all teachers, assistants and potential teachers. The lesson books contain lesson plans, how to and tips plus fun activities. The books are easy and fun to work with. Even if you are not at all sure you want to teach, come to the training session. It will help you decide. It is rewarding work, and many teachers tell of how they have grown "in the knowledge and love of the Lord" just by teaching! Please seriously consider becoming a teacher or assistant!
You may contact: Christine Cammelieri, Our Lady of Good Hope

Many are Called few Volunteer!
We are looking for Catholic volunteers at the Maine State
Prison (MSP). Currently we have many other denominations who
volunteer, but Catholics have not come forward as readily.
It is very rewarding doing God’s work in prison. There
are many Catholics in prison who are Catholics in name only who
need other Catholics to instruct them on the teachings of the
Church, RCIA, Bible study, work with inmates in a group, or in a
one on one setting. It is time you use the gifts the Lord gave you to
help others in prison.
For more information, call Chaplin (Deacon) Walter Foster at 273-5300
ext 50141 or write to : Chaplin (Deacon) Walter Foster, MSP, 807 Cushing Road,
Warren, Maine 04864.
